An Exploration Place Visit

We made a trip to Kansas after Christmas and spent New Years there. We saw some friends and unfortunately we all ended up getting the stomach flu, so we didn't get to do as much as we had planned. So, on the way back we decided to stop and have some fun at the Exploration Place in Wichita. It is a favorite place of ours to visit because it is all geared towards science and towards children. They learn about flight, things relating to Kansas, and whatever other special exhibits they have. So, we get there and find out the special exhibit is on poop. It was titled, The Scoop on Poop. Of course my boys are thrilled, because as any mother of boys knows, boys love poop. Even big boys love poop now that I think about it. Anyway here are a few pictures.....needless to say they had a great time and learned a lot about it too!

A new addition

Our most exciting family news is that Josh and Kendrie Mutart had their first baby, Laila Mutart. She is a beautiful baby and long awaited for! She arrived on Dec 23 and the family is doing well. She was 6 lbs and 13 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. I am very anxious to meet her, hopefully in Feb! This is my 6th time being an aunt! That is amazing! Welcome little one!

Kegan is 5!

on
On the 19th Kegan had his 5th birthday! We try and make their birthday's special, not just by gifts, but by letting them choose an activity to go and do. Kegan was conflicted because the Tale of Despreaux was coming into theaters that day and he LOVES bowling. After much deliberation, he chose bowling. This is not a big shocker to the people who know Kegan well. I was in a bowling league in Germany when he was little, about 16 months old, and he wanted to bowl then! Ever since it has been a love of his. It is his favorite game on the Wii, he is pro, I am making him bowling pj's for Christmas, and he has a set he plays in my kitchen. I love to watch them develop their personalities, likes and dislikes, it is a blast!

Thanksgiving Day

I love the trees in the south, they are so beautiful. We took like six shots of this, but one of us either was smiling goofy or had their eyes closed!
We went to our city park and took a family picture on Thanksgiving, it was difficult to get everyone smiling and standing still, but I think it turned out well! We spent the day with our friends that we meet in Germany who are also stationed here. I meant to get pictures of them, but after dinner we decided to do quilting and lost track of time. Hope everyone had a blessed day!

Oklahoma

Yes, you read it right, a new post! I have been harassed lately from family and friends about an update, so here it goes! We live in Oklahoma now, not really a huge change from Kansas. The weather is nice, sunny and crisp! It is quite windy lately, and that is what really makes it chilly. The kids are doing great and growing so quickly! Kyran just had his six birthday! He is doing well with home school and has began to read. It is an amazing thing to watch your children begin to read, seems like such a big kid thing to do! He loves to do building projects with daddy and crafting projects as well! Kegan is such a hands on boy. He is a sweet boy with a rough and tumble side too! He loves to play the Wii and is a pro bowler! He has just learned to ride his bike with no training wheels, so the boys are beginning to ask for a ramp for their bikes! Kaylin is the little princess, except she can hold her own. She has been known to tackle one of the boys too! She loves to have tea, play with her dolls, and have her toes painted! Jeremy and I are dong well and keeping busy. Jeremy is wanting to get into wood working, which I think he will enjoy. This is a first time he has had time for a hobby, so that is a blessing to him. He has also started a bible study for guys on post with one of his friends from the navigators, so that is exciting as well. As for me, I have gotten back into quilting and am loving it! It is a lot more fun when you actually have time to do it! I have been home a lot, which I like, but are ready to start getting involved with some ministries. I am going to try to keep with my blog, so I dont feel like I am updating all the time! =) Email me if you dont see anything in awhile! Have a warm Thanksgiving with family and friends!
